Charles Brigham submitted a “Study for Pediment, State House, Boston” in the Boston Architectural Club annual exhibition in 1902. It is unclear whether this study involves the pediment on the Bulfinch portion of the building, the pediment on the rear wing that he designed in 1889 or something else.
No pictures are known to survive of this design.
