Quincy District Court Courthouse

12 Coddington Street
Quincy, Mass.

Year Built: 1911

Seven architects submitted designs for the Quincy District Court Courthouse in 1911, including Brigham, Coveney & Bisbee. William Chapman was selected as the architect. Brigham, Coveney & Bisbee was paid $50 for submitting the design.

The submitted designs are not known to survive but interestingly, the firm was selected to design a courthouse in Bristol County (Attleboro District Court) in 1914 and elements of this design may have been carried over to that later commission.
