This house was designed by Sturgis & Brigham in 1870 and destroyed by fire in 1881. It sat at the northeast corner of Dartmouth and Marlborough Streets. No pictures are known to exist of this house. George Wheatland was a developer and built houses such as this one for sale. He developed a number of houses on Dartmouth Street from 1869-1872 in which he did not live, including this one.
