Boston English and Latin School House
Boston, Mass.
Year Built: 1874
In 1874, Sturgis & Brigham submitted a design for a proposed new English and Latin School House as part of a design competition. The design came in fourth place and they received a premium of $400.00. In third place was Ware & VanBrunt, second was S.J.F. Thayer and first was C. Fehmer. Presumably, the Sturgis & Brigham design was not built.
It is unclear whether a copy of the Sturgis & Brigham design still exists.
