Henry Cabot Lodge House

Unknown
,

According to documentation in the Sturgis Papers, at the termination of Sturgis & Brigham, Henry Cabot Lodge was a client of Charles Brigham. At the time, Lodge was running for Congress but not yet elected. It may be that he was considering having a house built for him in Washington, DC. Lodge was otherwise a resident of Nahant, Mass. and maintained this Sturgis & Brigham design after the 1886 termination of the firm. Ultimately, it is likely that this house was never built. No plans of this design are known to exist.
