Year Built: None

Justin Winsor proposed a model lay-out for a library. No exterior design is apparent. Winsor was superintendent of the Boston Public Library from 1868–77 and librarian of Harvard University from 1877-1897. He came to be regarded as the leading figure of the library profession in the United States and was a founder of the American Library Association in 1876. Winsor died in 1897. The design was created sometime before 1886.
